The National Charity projects of the Improved Order of Red Men are The Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge and Homes for Our Troops.
Founding Forward at Valley Forge
The Founding Forward (formerly, Freedoms Foundation) provides stimulating, immersive educational experiences for students and teachers, inspiring them to discover the spirit and philosophy of our nation’s founding charters and ideals, embrace the rights and responsibilities of citizenship, and preserve and advance our freedoms.
Homes for Our Troops
The mission of Homes for Our Troops is to build and donate specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post-9/11 veterans, to enable them to rebuild their lives.
Homes for Our Troops has built houses within the jurisdiction of the Great Council of Indiana in the following places:
- INDIANA - Completed: Attica, Evansville, Lawrenceburg, Milroy, Noblesville. In Progress: North Manchester.
- ILLINOIS - Completed: Mahomet, Manhattan, Plainfield, Shelbyville.
- KENTUCKY - Completed: Eddyville.
- TENNESSEE - Completed: Arrington, Carthage, Clarksville, Dandridge, Franklin, Gallatin, Jonesborough, LaVergne, Murfreesboro, Nashville, Nolensville, Somerville, Sparta.
